Dan Ostlund has worked as a personal wealth advisor for the past 25 years, serving the needs of hundreds of Puget Sound families. Over his career, Dan has taught numerous financial seminars locally, and been a guest speaker at  conferences in the U.S. and abroad. Dan is a lifetime member of  Life Underwriter Training Certification Fellow (LUTCF) academy which he earned from the College for Financial Planning. He is also holds the Certified Financial Fiduciary (CFF) designation. The Ostlund Family has been in business in the Tacoma area since 1904. Dan’s great grandfather, John Ostlund owned a show repair shop on the corner of Puyallup Avenue and East D Street he opened in 1904. I want to tell a story of Dan’s grandfather, Phil Ostlund. Dan’s aunt was a nurse at Multi Care for 30 years. One day a patient saw her ‘Ostlund’ name badge and asked if she was a relation to Mr Ostlund, who owned the shoe store on “K” Street. Dan’s aunt said, ‘Yes.”  The lady got crocodile tears in her eyes and said her mother used to take her and her sisters to Ostlund’s Shoes every year for back to school shoes.  She said her and her sisters knew their mother didn’t have enough money to pay for them and Mr. Ostlund would give us free shoes every year. This is the type of people the Ostlund’s are.    Dan is currently an Investment Advisor Representative with Strategy Marketplace, which allows our clients to purchase digital assets. Prior to Strategy Marketplace, Dan was with Intersecurities, which later turned into Transamerica, where was in the Circle of Honor for 7 consecutive years.  This was TFA’s top tier recognition which was based on production and convention attendance.  Dan and his wife, Marie, have resided in Tacoma, Washington for their entire lives. Marie is in the business with Dan.  They have two sons, Derek and Alex, who are in the Carson Business School at Washington State University studying business and finance.  Derek will graduate in 2022 and Alex will graduate in 2023.  They are joining the firm after graduation.
